So you're coding at home as well... no life?
I finally took the shrink wrap of my fresh new copy of NWN Platinum Edition the other night. I'm glad I finally bought a replacement set of CDs, it was worth it.
Follow up:
Even though I've only been away from it for probably about a year now, i feels like coming back to old haunts. Especially dropping in a couple of the archived module development projects and seeing what I was doing last year. There's some good stuff in here ![]()
First things first, I'll be working in to straight off enhancing The Porphyry House Horror (hencforth called PHH or just PH) with the aim of finally concluding a real module. I think it's a good project to cover those boring weekends in this town when there's nothing to do (which is regularly). So I'll try to keep this a little more up to date than I have.
I was reading on a Vault article not long ago I think a great tip regarding getting into module development, which can also apply to an project really. It was suggested that you start off with a very simple module, maybe only one area with two monsters. And then you build on that, and build, and build... continuously expanding on something. So at any one time you have something which can be played through from start to finish, and always feel like the whole concept is 'doable'.
As opposed to biting off something enormous and coming up with a huge amount of systems/content and even (god forbid) plot while you are making the damn thing!
Just some food for thought there. ![]()
