MonsterLAN X.v
June 15th, 2005Link: http://monsterlan.com
X.v was just an absolute blast. For those not in the know, standard MonsterLAN events clock in across two days with an average attendance of about 150 or so. Lately it's been getting higher and higher.
Whereas the 'mini' lans that the MonsterLAN crews hold are run at cost with just 40 or so people. No comps. No prizes. Just games.

Planes, trains and automobiles
June 15th, 2005Well I got back home from my trip at around 20:30 Monday night. And the short version is, it was awesome. ![]()
I spent 3 days trying to pick up the switch between ejb2 and ejb3 systems, as well as toying with the 1.5 java stuff. Still quite a few holes in my knowledge base but nevertheless it was a good way to try and ramp back up to speed.
I'm still running at extremely low gear unfortunately, which has been exasperated by the seemingly endless documentation cycle with my clients. ![]()
Also managed to nip in to ML X.v and had a blast. More on that later.
