Well for the last two weeks or so I have been tarting the Hino Hybrid around the place. And as much as I hate to say it, I’m quite impressed with it.
Its fairly simple technology, same kind of thing that the Prius uses. Diesel engine with a electric assist. Basically the electric assist works till the engine comes on boost. What it means is that this thing flys. Off the mark it will give your average car a good run for its money, why saving the environment. It does all kinds of cool stuff like turn the engine off when your sitting still. And starts it again when you want to take off. You get some weird looks in traffic as you pull up it lets out a beep and shuts down. People think you have stalled it. Only to have it start in a instant once you want to take off. Then you just blow them away. The important part is the fuel saving. They claim 33% which I thought might be a bit high. That would mean that compared to its diesel counterpart it would have to get around 1200 k’s out of the tank. In the past two weeks it has managed to get just under 1600 k’s out of the tank. Quite a big saving if you work it out over the year. The other thing is the torque of the truck. Its one of the few truck that going up the Leopold hill I have had to back off. Normally I’m in something much bigger, with nothing on the back, slipped it down two gears and headed up. This thing did it at 80 k’s with a tone of watermelon on the back in top gear. (Impressed the fuck out of the customer too)
Now for the part that hurts though. The extra $10,000 needed to buy one. The real question is will average Joe buy one. Most likely not. Will the local councils buy them to look green. You bet.

Ok so I got myself a PS3 (Gota love free stuff) Now I have had a interesting time with it.

The playstation has always been the easiest of all the consoles to use. Take out the disk put it in and play. Even a four year old could do it.
My question is with the changes to the PS3 have they killed the ease of using it or made the greatest console ever.

Well yesterday one of the strangest things happened, why sitting on the shitter for my morning work sit, my phone rang, it was one of those do I answer it or not moments, but after seeing the number I knew I had to answer it, as it was a fairly big client. Now the problem with this is there is no way I could get off the shitter, as they would have known what was going on. I don’t think it’s very professional to flush why talking a deal out, and I couldn’t leave the floater there. So there I sat hoping that it was to be a short conversation, I even tried can I call you back from the land line? But that just didn’t work it was a now or never phone call.

The up shot is a ¾ of a million deal was done why sitting on the shitter.

Well so far after almost a solid month of Wii ownership, I have managed to.

Destroy 2 Glasses in spectacular fashion.
Wack the Mrs in the head at least 10 times (she’s got a few back though)
Take a chunk out of the coffee table.
Send the wiimote flying across the room twice because I didn’t have the strap on
And
Break a plate that was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

And after all that I must say the wiimote shows no sign of abuse.

About the only problem is the last glass that I broke cut into the silicone cover a fair bit.

So all I can say is yes heed the warning they give you at the start of each game about checking what’s around you before swinging the wiimote like a mad man. (As in mortal combat or Dragon ball Z or a fit of Wii tennis when you’re near the net or when racing cows in Wiiplay, or taking a shot for snooker in Wiiplay)

After weeks of not knowing, countless tests, a small operation and a anal probe or two, its finally been decided that I am in fact human and will live till at least the next monsterlan.

For the few of you that knew what was going on, its all good now. For the rest of you, its all good now too.
