Know your Product
Ok now this is something that gets me. If you are gonig to work in a sales job at least have some sort of a idea what you are selling.
This is my story.
Follow up:
Ok I needed some contact cleaning sloution so I headed off to the chemist to get some. So I'm standing looking at all the stuff but just cant seem to find what I'm looking for, so I head on over to the counter and all I can find is some KFC reject standing there. So I produce the empty bottle that I have in my pocket and say "Do you have any of this" With that she takes it from my hand to read it. Its a fairly small bottle, and at this point I must state that the bottle has the brand name and the words "Protien remover for contact lenses", and she says yea I think so. So off we walk past all the eye care stuff, which got me wondering a little, and into the shampoo asile. With that she picks up a bottle of shampoo and says "Oh this one is proten enrichihing, you dont want that one." With that I explain that its not for my hair its to clean my contacts. She then just stares at me blankly and goes off to get the other KFC reject.
So now I have 2 of them looking at the bottle and asking me what it does. So explain to them how it works, you just put one drop in the container at night and fill it with the other stuff, which I point to on the shelf. KFC no 2 then grabs a packet of the shelf and tells me that this is the same stuff. So I take a look and say, no these are the tablets, I want the drops. The tablets cost twice as much and are shit to use. She then grabs packet no 2 off the shell and says oh these are the drops, and before I get a chance to take a look she says, hang on I'll check that you can use them with your soluttion. Now the thing is that these drops are made by the same comany that makes the celaning fluid. She then comes back with KFC reject no 3. Mind you thier total age still dosn't add up to mine. (may not be true) Where between the three of them they manage to work out that yes it will. So I say thank you, and head on off to grap the rest of the stuff, luckily I didn't need any help with that. Then why standing in line I look at the back of the packet and the 1st line says "Safe to use with all cleaning solutions"
