We have Contact. (Well almost)
Well after 10 years of wearing glasses I'm making the switch to contacts.
Its a painful process of trial fitting and eye testing that you have to go through to get these things.
Follow up:
FIrst its the normal eye test. That a no brainer I've had heaps of these. Then its all about eye measuring, lost of poking and prodding, drops in the eyes and all sort of stuff. Then you get a "trial" pair of contacts. If you have never worn them before, well I guess there is no way to explain the feeling other than yes it does feel like something is stuck to your eye.
You get to wear them for about 15mins to see if there are any problem and if there arn't any they order them for you and you come back in a few days for the final fitting.
This is where is all went wrong for me. After about 5 min's I noticed that I couldn't feel the one in my left eye, and Im thinking gee that didn't take long. Once back inside I tell the guy that I cant feel the left one and he takes a look, turns out its too tight on my eye and isn't moving at all. This is a bad thing. So he whips out this huge book and starts looking, turns out he dosnt have the ones I need, so he has to order them and then I have to go thorough the whole process again. So at the moment I'm still wearing the old specs, but with a bit of luck in another week they will be gone (most of the time anyway)
