WOW, well not realy
Ok I thought I'd see what the whole World of warcraft thing was about.
Putting aside the cost of the game and the cost of the stupid cards that you have to buy, I thought I'd put in a few hours, using another persons account (yes they knew about it) and all I can say is that, well its not a game for me.
First there was the controls to get used to. This took a little bit as the warcraft feel seems to have gone from there. So with that sorted, I thought i would do some exploring, as guess what, I ran around for ages by myself. Then after a while I managed to get into some action. And even after 3 - 3hour sessions, im still not that impressed by the game. i think the only way that I would enjoy it would be if I had a bunch of people in the same room playing, which kinda defeats the purpose.
So sorry WOW lovers, but its just not the game for me.
Then I decided I would pick up a game that I had a look at quite awhile ago, Star wars Galaxies.
When this game was released in the US I jumped on it, and found the game to be one of the most flawed games I have ever played, but it had heaps of potential. After almost a year I gave up on it. Simply because it was far too tedius to play, the old system meant that you had to spend ages adjusting your stats to learn new moves. So what did they do? Well they changed it all, its now more of the WOW type thing where you pic a race and level up.
The problem is that most people have given up on the game now. The people that stayed either
a)loved the game or
b)loved star wars so much they didn't care about the game.
Now the game is basically full of star wars freaks.
But the good news is that there is a lot of new content. Finally there is a actual galactic war and vehicles. So after all this time they have finally made a good game, all be it a little late.
Check out the site for some info http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/
Now all I need is to find someone with matrix online so I can get a go at that.
