EMI & screwing me over
This is the "feedback" i gave to EMI after getting Ben Harpers latest CD (which is great by the way) and wanting to rip it into my itunes collection for listening on both my xbox & ipod and i find they have now added OS X copy protection.
I am sick & tired of the copy protection shit stopping me from ripping the CD's onto my ipod. I brought the cd's why can't i use them how I want. I am now currently getting around your copy protection (quite easy) on the cd's i just purchased (ben harper) just so i can get them in the format I want (itunes quality sucks). You clueless dumb-asses i'm glad the labels are dieing and bands like the Artic Monkeys have proven that labels are now pointless, greedy middlemen doing nothing but destroying music for everyone. Congratulations on killing your company & the label industry i will be celebrating the day soon i'm sure.
I support BANDS not greedy lawyer filled companies like yours, now hurry up & go out of business.
Have a nice day
After all that crap i ripped it using the XBOX Media Center CD ripper. Worked a treat now i have MY CD's in the format i want. Stick it to the man and support bands not greedy middle men.

I too support the artists i like by going to gigs. The live shows shit all over their albums anyway.
Merchendise is the "cream" for the band so buying the overpriced t-shirts goes to the band. That's why if you do want to help them out buy the real thing from inside the venue & not the cheap rip off's outside the venue.
But the only sure fire way to make sure they get the cash is to walk up & give them the $30 you owuld have spent on the cd, t-shirt or whatever... that way you know they are getting all of it.
Another reason is that most of my favourites are punk bands that hate the greed most musicians have towards money.
And i hate the thought of those greedy bastard music labels getting money.
